Jim joined BSLSC in 2024. He practices family law exclusively.

Before joining BSLSC, Jim practiced family law at family law firms in Toronto, Peel, and Halton where he worked on complex, high net worth, and high conflict family law files with numerous prominent family law counsel. He maintains a broad practice that encompasses domestic contracts, income disputes, parenting issues, collaborative family law practice, child support, alternative dispute resolution, and complex property division. He specializes in legal research and provides tailored and cost-effective legal research to his clients and the family law team. He approaches family law files with compassion and diligence.

Jim was called to the Ontario Bar in 2018. He completed his law degree at Osgoode Hall Law School, where he was the Family Law Project Coordinator with the Pro Bono Students Canada. He was recognized by the Law Foundation of Ontario for his contribution to access to justice in family law.

Outside of his practice, Jim volunteers his legal services with the Women’s Centre of Halton. He is a member of the Ontario Bar Association, the Advocates’ Society, and a condo board.

Jim is able to serve his clients in English and Mandarin.
